Ingredients:

Yields: 4
Prep: 15 mins

Cook: 45 mins

5 honeycrisp apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 Cup sugar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp lemon juice
1 Cup old-fashioned oats
1 Cup brown sugar
1 Cup flour
1/2 Cup chilled butter, cut into small cubes

1/2 cup caramel sauce

preparation:

Prep your pellet smoker with Cowboy Charcoal & Apple Barbeque Pellets for 375 degrees F.

Mix the apples in a large bowl with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice until coated. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, and chilled butter and using your hands, mix, crumbling the butter to combine the ingredients into a grainy sand consistency.

Add the apples to a large cast iron skillet.

Top with the crisp topping.
Place in a preheated smoker and close the lid. Smoke the apple crisp for 45 minutes, then remove to let cool.

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
